Voting in USoS 2021 has closed!
At long last, we have closed voting for the Final Round of USoS 2021. As always, the results will be tabulated and then presented in a "live" results video, Eurovision style, with Greg as your host! There may be a few additional surprises up our sleeves, too ... 0:) We received 15 jury votes and ~55 public votes. These are pretty similar numbers compared to last year. We need to review the votes for accuracy, but these are the maximum totals you can expect. Thank you to everyone who voted. Remember: Jury votes will account for 50% of the score. The public votes account for the other 50%. This means each jury vote has about 4 times the influence of a public voter.
Also new to USoS 2021 will be the introduction of "calling in" to specific voters! At least three of the jurors have recorded their top points. We look forward to bringing this part of the ESC experience to USoS!
We did something last year that was quite different than usual, and perhaps it should remain a tradition - an interval video. A musical composition from local artists, or a performance act - something to bring the flavor of Minneapolis or Minnesota alive! Last year's winner, dEM aTLAS, won the contest by a single point, and has returned to give us a medley of his catalogue of music, including the winning song "Pneumonia". He is such an energetic performer!
We will have the results out by September 21st. We are determined to make it the best possible show, given how patient everyone has been. So... do you have any predictions? Do you think the public vote will be vastly different? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
Cheers!
