USoS 2020 Theme Revealed!

Happy New Year, everyone! We are delighted to announce that #USoS 2020 will take place in Kansas City, Missouri! Although St. Louis (home of the Gateway Arch) was another option, we decided to honor the home city of last year's winner Yes You Are by going to their city instead. Kansas City lies on the border of Missouri and Kansas, and you may not know this, but more people live on the Missouri side than the Kansas side! Aside from its origins in jazz music and being a hub for fantastic barbecue, it is also known as the City of Fountains. It's also home to the world's tallest water slide, the Verruckt. The contest's theme is Show Me The Music! because Missouri is known as the "Show Me State" and because this music contest is in many ways also a "presentation" of music from the US states and territories. The eclectic colors of the guitar reflect a vibrant and exciting community in Kansas City that embraces warmly its diverse music scene. We could continue on about this edition being our fifth anniversary, or the contest's name change, but you don't really care about that... Just show the music!

The Semifinal and Final Round designs will be based around the guitar logo, the theme, and the variety of colors presented here, including fuchsia, aqua, violet, and yellow. What do you think? Use the form link above (click the 'Song Submission' tab) and send us as many entries as you want before January 26th. After that date, the USoS team will gather and decide which entries will represent the 51 contestants.
