Over 100 entries submitted to #50SS 2018!

Hello everyone, and welcome (officially) to 2018! First off, I'd like to give a big Thank You to those who have submitted entries so far. While we haven't had a chance to listen to each and every song yet, we're glad to see that between all 50 states (and some additional territories) there are over 100 entries!

That shouldn't discourage you from sending your songs, though. The submission period is still open until February 12. Click here for more information.

If we do get 5 or more songs submitted for any particular state, we may decide to hold a voting poll or selection process for that state. The most we have is 4, so... it could happen? Conversely, there are still states without a song - examples are Massachusetts and Wisconsin - so keep the songs coming!

Finally, since we've had a couple issues with a few song submissions, remember that a) the song must be under 3 minutes and 30 seconds, and b) the artist(s) must be from or be born in the state they represent. We have not developed rules for collaborations, and a couple have taken advantage of that - behind the scenes we are discussing whether those entries should be allowed.

We're aiming for at least 3 blogs per week - it's been too silent around here (totally our faults!)
