Submit a Song for the 2018 Contest!
YES!!! For the first time ever, we are open for public submissions to the contest. You can now submit the songs you'd like to see and hear in 50 States of Song 2018!

We're looking for songs from any of the 50 U.S. states, and the District of Columbia. For a song to be eligible, we've included some of the basic rules that must be followed, which you can read here. And who knows - maybe there will be a reward for submitting the winning entry... ;)
Now: do you have to be the artist or musician who performed or wrote the song in order to submit the song? Of course not - given that it's our first year doing this, we're not sure how likely it will be that we get submissions from artists and musicians. So we are relying on the music fans out there to help us out.
The submission form will be open until February 12, 2018, after which the 50SS staff will review and choose the finalist for each state based on the rules outlined and the song's overall quality, inventiveness, and... well... its lack of offensiveness. The staff will be looking for entries during this time, so even if we don't get songs from all the states, we will still hold the contest.
